Your grid, live

The energy lens, right now, where you are

The main site prices AI energy at US average rates. Electricity is really priced by the half-hour, and its carbon content swings with the wind — literally. Where free, open APIs exist, this page reads your grid right now and reprices the energy behind a task.

The grid right now

A task, priced this minute

Electricity only — the vendor's API bill doesn't change with your grid; this is the energy lens localized.

Method: task energy uses the same token-scaled model as the main site (0.34 Wh per ~800-token median query, datacenter overhead included). Live prices are what you would pay for that energy locally — real datacenters buy power on industrial contracts, typically cheaper. Carbon figures use the grid's current intensity where a free live API exists. UK: National Grid ESO carbon intensity API and Octopus Agile tariffs. Germany/Austria: aWATTar wholesale spot (retail adds taxes and network fees, typically 2–3×). Currency conversion uses the snapshot's approximate FX rate.
